Broilers are also raised in Cognito from August through May. Our first harvest day of the season is in the middle of September, with 8 monthly harvests thereafter through May.

Florida law allows us to sell you a live bird – but if you ask us to, we will prepare the chicken for your refrigerator, complete with a vacuum plastic bag that's suitable for your freezer. There is no extra charge for the courtesy of harvesting and dressing your chicken. They are $3.25 a pound dressed, and average 4 to 5 pounds each.
